Dr.Luke Rex: Bridging Psychology and Filmmaking for Unparalleled Production Excellence

Luke Rex, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist (LA and NY) and award-winning filmmaker, bringing a rare integration of psychological expertise and hands-on production experience.


His short film Bonding screened internationally and received over 70 awards (2023–2024), reflecting a deep understanding of storytelling, performance, and the realities of production. It is currently in development as a prestige limited TV series.


Dr. Rex provides consultation to film and television projects ranging from independent productions to large-scale studio work, supporting both creative excellence and psychological sustainability across the production lifecycle.

Luke Rex Bio

Dr. Luke Rex is a licensed clinical psychologist and filmmaker whose work reflects a distinctive integration of psychology and the arts.


Born in Sydney, he began his career in performance before transitioning into psychology, earning his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2022. His background in acting and storytelling continues to inform his clinical work, particularly in the use of experiential and insight-oriented approaches.


Over the course of his training and early career, Dr. Rex facilitated more than 4,000 experiential groups across a range of clinical settings, developing a strong foundation in group process, emotional expression, and applied psychological work.


In parallel, he has continued his work in filmmaking. His short film Bonding screened internationally and received over 70 awards between 2023 and 2024, reflecting a commitment to character-driven storytelling and psychological depth.


Dr. Rex’s work is defined by a synthesis of clinical expertise and creative perspective, with a focus on insight, clarity, and meaningful psychological change.
